Dr. Wesley Mullins in Knoxville and Powell, TN is a teacher at heart and wants to help other people reach their dream of being a great dentist. He currently teaches residents and is also attending at a local hospital. You may have been in the office and been asked if another dentist could look over his shoulder and watch him perform the procedure.
Dental school only teaches so much in four years and it’s important that dentists continue to educate themselves and learn the latest techniques. Dr. Mullins is also traveling a speaking for his dental lab, Dental Crafters, teaching dentist across the country the new technology that makes dentists the best they can be in their area. The coolest thing, My Family Dentistry in Knoxville, TN has done over the years is providing young aspiring students a chance to be a part of a shadowing internship.

Because Dr. Mullins and his team are experienced, shadowing at My Family Dentistry allows an aspiring dentist to experience, just about every facet of the dental field. Students experience sterilization techniques, restorative dentistry, periodontics, dental hygiene, crown and bridge, oral surgery, implant dentistry and front office management.
It’s a totally cool experience and students have a great time!
