On Thursday, May 23, Dr. Wes Mullins of My Family Dentistry in Powell, TN, will be leading a continuing education session for other dentists called “Confident Dental Impressions.”
Dental impressions are casts made of portions of a patient’s mouth. They allow dental restoration pieces to be created to replace a lost tooth or teeth, such as the kind that would be fitted to implants.
In the program, Dr. Mullins will be educating other dentists about how to provide patients with better dental restorations by taking better impressions.
The session will focus on how dentists can create more accurate dental impressions and implant-level impressions, so that dental laboratories will have more accurate information from which to build each patient’s dental restoration piece.
The result is that every patient can have their best possible smile, as well as the most comfortable, natural, and long-lasting dental restoration possible.
Held in Norcross, Georgia, the continuing education session is a part of the American Dental Association’s Continuing Education Recognition Program, and is co-sponsored by Dentsply Implants and Pan-Am Dental Incorporated.
In addition to teaching continuing education courses, Dr. Mullins is an instructor at the University of Tennessee Medical Center in Knoxville. His concentration is in advanced laser dentistry, state-of-the-art dentistry, oral surgery, implant dentistry, and the management of medically compromised patients.
