Dollywood is a guaranteed hit in every season, but even more so in spring. This vibrant, exciting theme park contains more than 40 rides, 15 exceptional shows, five of the South’s largest festivals, Southern-style dining, and tons of other activities geared toward kids and families. Until April 9th, check out the Festival of Nations, a diverse celebration that offers a glimpse into the cultures of countries around the world.

Wildflower hikes at Norris Dam
Make sure to take your allergy medication because spring is in the air at Norris Dam. Guided wildflower hikes are available at this state park, where you’ll find a riot of color and blooms. The program here teaches visitors about the identification, natural history, and folklore of over 30 different kinds of spring wildflowers. For any “budding” young botanist, a trip to Norris Damn can be one of the best things to do in Knoxville.
