Jenny’s interest in dentistry and patient care began with a family connection. During middle school, she was introduced to the man who would eventually become her brother-in-law, a dental student himself at the time. She was taken with his passion, enthusiasm, and love for his chosen field, and decided to pursue dentistry herself.
She went on to attend UT, where she earned a bachelor of science in microbiology. Following an additional degree in dental hygiene from ETSU, she became a Registered Dental Hygienist. As such, Jenny is certified to administer local anesthesia and nitrous oxide.
Now at My Family Dentistry, the best part of her job, she says, is “interacting with patients!…We truly care about the whole person…what is going on in your mouth can impact the whole body. We offer very comprehensive care.”

“Poor sleep isn’t normal,” Jenny says. “I’ve had so many people tell me they thought waking up multiple times during the night was normal, snoring is normal, feeling tired all the time is normal. These are all signs something may be wrong with your sleep.”

As a myofunctional therapist and Buteyko Breathing Method coach, she also helps patients with alternative strategies to improve breathing and maxillofacial function.
