We officially reopened our doors on May 18th and we are thrilled to be back! It’s been a challenging couple of months, but we’ve been busy updating the office to provide you with the safest and best dental care possible. As you may be aware, we’ve changed some things around the office to protect you as well as our staff. This includes calling from your car when you arrive, answering a short health survey, and wearing a cloth mask inside.

The New Normal
We understand that you may have some reservations about returning to your normal routine. Going to the dentist requires that you take your mask off, and you may be putting off getting routine treatment or even coming in for emergencies out of fear of COVID-19.
Our team at My Family Dentistry wants to assure you that we are doing everything we can to protect you during this uncertain time. You can rest assured that we’ve been keeping up with the ADA’s guidelines as they develop. Additionally, we spent the week prior to reopening practicing our new protocols to keep you as safe and comfortable as possible.
New protocols for patients include:
- Answering some basic questions before we confirm your appointment.
- Waiting in your car until one of our staff members escorts you into the office.
- Wearing a mask as much as possible while in the office.
We’re also doing our part to keep you safe. Our front desk staff are behind a plastic barrier and are wearing cloth masks at all times. Those providing treatments are wearing N95 or P100 masks, face shields, and medical gowns to minimize germ transmission.
Reopening Has Gone Great
Reopening for us has been all about newness, and we’re not just talking about the new appointment guidelines. All this change gave us an opportunity to reset and refocus on what we value most at My Family Dentistry, which is providing the most compassionate and comfortable dental care for children and adults of all ages.
We wanted to let you know how much you mean to us and how amazing you have been since our reopening. We spent a very busy week preparing to reopen, and we have been just as busy seeing patients since reopening our doors. Your kindness has been amazing and is a reminder of why we’re dedicated to providing the best dental care possible to our patients. If you haven’t been in yet, we can’t wait to see you.
