Meet Dr. Wesley Mullins

Dr. Mullins received his bachelor’s degree from West Virginia University before going on to earn his dental degree from the WVU School of Dentistry. 

Committed to lifetime learning, Dr. Wesley Mullins completed his general practice residency at the University of Tennessee Medical Center, where he gained the following specialized knowledge: 

• Laser Dentistry
• Cosmetic Dentistry
• Oral Surgery
• Implant Dentistry
• Management of medically compromised patients

These skills allow him to provide all of his patients with the best options that dentistry has to offer! The My Family Dentistry team is dedicated to continued learning, delivering the best practices and techniques to their patients.  

Dr. Mullins has also received a prestigious Fellowship Award from the Academy of General Dentistry, further distinguishing his career. The requirements of the fellowship include passing a rigorous Fellowship Exam and completing more than 500 hours of continuing education.

In addition to practicing at My Family Dentistry, he serves as faculty at the University of Tennessee Medical Center and volunteers at rural area medical clinics in Knox and Anderson counties. 

Dr. Mullins also places great emphasis on being an honest, gentle, caring dentist who puts his patients and their comfort first. The atmosphere of the office and spa-like relaxation treatments are a key element in comfortable dentistry, because they both help distract the patient from anxiety, and stimulate the senses in a positive way.  

Dr. Mullins enjoys working with his wife Laura in the practice, as well as spending time with their daughters, Anna and Malia.
