I really want people to feel comfortable in the chair, provide them with a really good experience, just really help them understand what I’m doing so that they’re more comfortable about it too, not only, like, their feelings but comfortable about the plan that we have ahead. Rewarding aspect would be getting patients out of pain. Another is really educating them on their problems, helping prevent those down the road.
I mean, prevention is key in dentistry, if I can educate people on their dental health and help simplify their problems so that they don’t run into major ones down the road. We develop those comprehensive treatment plans so that patients trust us down the road and they understand what we’re trying to do here.
Meet Dr. Sy Anthony, A Dentist Who Provides Quality Care
Dr. Anthony is excited to provide quality care to patients in Powell and surrounding areas. Born and raised in West Tennessee, he completed his undergraduate degree at the University of Tennessee-Knoxville and is an avid Tennessee fan. After graduating from UT, he continued his career by attending Creighton University School of Dentistry.
Once he completed dental school, he decided to move back to Knoxville to be closer to the mountains, UT football, and fly fishing. Dr. Anthony is currently a member of the American Dental Association, The Second District Dental Society, and The Tennessee Dental Association. He strives to select continuing education courses to broaden his scope of practice. He is certified to perform implant surgery.
When Dr. Anthony isn’t practicing dentistry, you can find him fly-fishing in the mountains or on one of the many rivers surrounding Knoxville. He and his fiancé, Ashley, love attending UT sporting events, and spending time with their dog, Ruby.
