I had reached an age in my life, I was always kind of a teeth grinder and it’d give me headaches. I’d clench at night or pop my teeth and I was breaking crowns. Well, I also noticed that I was kind of…they were shortening. Naturally, everybody wants to stay youthful and they’re trying to do the right things for themselves, and I was always particular about oral hygiene anyway and how the smile looked and my gums and all those things.
So they explained everything to me, I went home and I’d ponder on it, and I was mainly after trying to change my smile, but part of it was because, yeah, I had done a lot of damage to my teeth. Through counseling sessions with him and the things that he showed me could change, especially with the equipment, taking pictures, showing what they would move to be and look like and, “If we lengthened your teeth, this is what your smile would look like,” when you have that in front of you, it’s like, okay, now I’m seeing a picture of what I’m going to look like if I were to make that reconstruction. Amazing.
Like I said, at that age, I thought, I think it would add years of youthful years, you know, if I did that. Again, I’m breaking my teeth right and left, so what a better way to fix both, right? Now that I look back, I thought, that’s a no-brainer because it just offered so much to exactly what I was after. The smile, look, the length of my teeth, the fractures aren’t there, everything, and I get compliments all the time.
Sit down with them and go over it because they have an entire plan. I mean, even if it’s a finance plan, a plan whether it be a partial reconstruction, there’s so much that they can do based on what they’re after.
