At My Family Dentistry and in my practice, we have a lot of patients come in that present with a certain set of problems where they have missing teeth for years. Maybe they have teeth that have been broken and/or damaged, and maybe they have damage they didn’t even know was going on. And through our exam process where we take high-resolution photos, give you a tour of your mouth, you become a dentist yourself as a patient because you can identify, through education, the damage.
When people have damaged teeth or missing or broken teeth, the dentistry that we can offer today is amazing. I like to think of it like regeneration, right? We’re regenerating teeth, okay? Or we’re adding back what you lost. The average person is missing one or two teeth. The idea is for dentistry to be a non-event, right? The idea of dentistry is to be, to not affect the health enjoyment of your daily life. Like you wanna leave My Family Dentistry and really not think about me, right? I mean, I appreciate that, but you really wanna leave and be chewing and eating steak or a nice vegetable and corn off the cob, as we love here in the South, and not worry about your teeth slipping or anything like that.
And that kind of gets into an interesting thing because a lot of people are missing a lot of teeth and that sometimes can be embarrassing. A lot of my patients come to me and they say, “I’m really tired of really having to avoid outings, avoid time with my friends.”
And so this is restorative dentistry. Essentially showing someone what’s available. Whether it’s a single tooth that you’re missing, whether it’s a broken tooth, or whether it’s the entire mouth that needs to be looked at, you need to call and ask to speak to one of our doctors and help us understand your concerns. And then from there maybe we could develop a plan that fits your lifestyle and your budget to where you can start enjoying your smile.
- Return your smile to health with restorative care
- Replace missing teeth with dental implants
